Capturing the difference, with Independent Bank

Last week, I worked with Independent Bank to capture their annual Be the Difference Day, a day where their employees go out into the community and assist at a local non-profit. The bank had hired a few different photographers throughout their footprint, and I was able to cover two of these events in West Michigan.

The first event was in Rockford, and featured several employees helping the Equest Center for Therapeutic Riding. This organization seeks to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities, through equine-based therapy. The lighting that morning was absolutely gorgeous, and it was great seeing all the horses (even if they were a bit mischievous at times). Independent Bank employees assisted in cleaning up horse pens, cleaning food bins, moving hay and more.

The second event was in Holland, at the Community Action House. This organization provides local families with food, clothing and shelter, and also helps them to build skills that they can use in everyday life. Independent Bank employees helped with stocking shelves, and going through product to make sure it’s acceptable.
