Highlighting the artistry of the Grand Rapids restaurant scene
Over the past few months, I’ve worked with Experience Grand Rapids and Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. to highlight several restaurants in the Grand Rapids area. And I’ve gotta say — the GR restaurant game is strong. Here’s some of my favorite foodie shoots, complete with some mouth-watering photos.
The Ada Hotel
Ada’s newest hotel is located right downtown in the thick of it all. Surrounded by shops and a large park, Ada Hotel offers two amazing dining experience. Post Tavern is a casual first-floor restaurant, complete with a full bar. Take what you thought you knew about your everyday tavern and turn it up a notch, with some amazing meals and drinks. Upstairs, Rix Restaurant provides an outdoor patio and some amazing views while you enjoy elevated dishes. Photographed for Experience Grand Rapids, with Katy McAvoy serving as stylist.
Gin Gin’s
Gin Gin’s has turned into my favorite new restaurant in Grand Rapids. It’s located on the west side of downtown, on Bridge Street, and it features some amazing pasta, steak, and cocktails. It offers an amazing, comfortable ambiance both inside and out. Photographed for Downtown Grand Rapids Inc.
Cafe Mamo
Cafe Mamo is like a home away from home. Crafted by a couple originally from New York, Cafe Mamo looks to bring the big city vibes to Grand Rapids, offering an ever-changing menu full of local flavors. Photographed for Experience Grand Rapids, with Katy McAvoy serving as stylist.
